The Big WHY.

For a very long time I have been wondering about many things in life. Of which this three letter word beats my understanding.

This word is “WHY”. Most of us have used this word, will continue to, trying to find out why things happen & why things do not happen. Following “Why” we reach the answer we have been looking for anything that keeps us thinking.

Though I am a very big fan of “Why”, I have found answers to a lot of questions. But the capability of “Why” fails in my knowledge to understand “Why one Loves another person/thing.

Scientists claim that they have managed to de-code the human chemistry relating to Love. They say that your brain produces some sort of fluid which ignites love for another being/thing. Or some nonsense. It is “Lust” they are talking about and naming it “Love”.

I hope to find an answer to make me understand “Why we Love another being or thing.”

My Nation

I live in a Country which does not have a great deal of thins to be called a Great Nation :-

  • No proper Roads.
  • No proper Education System for every one.
  • No list of employees who could be blindly trusted with the National Treasury.
  • No list of aspirant EDUCATED politicians who could pass a Bill for the good of the People.
  • All the current politicians are only interested is in the money they can make to makeup for the money they spent for campaigns and what could they save for their 10th Generation.
  • Not one law which demands that a Journal be published on a regular basis, to let us know where our Taxes are spent on.

Having Said all of the Above :-

I am Still Proud of my Nation for it has a Great Deal of things to be called the Greatest Nation :-

  • In spite of the differences in our races of origin, the states we belong to, the Languages we speak, the religions we follow, we stand as ONE Nation and we all are proud to be INDIANS.
  • We have the 3rd Largest Army in the World and still be patient with our neighboring country, who is a PAIN IN THE ASS.
  • We have a Cricket Team who is feared by any other team in this world.
  • We are a Hub of all kinds of business off shoring solutions for the entire world.
  • We have a heritage to which the Entire World Salutes.
  • In spite of all the years for which we have been plundered into, we still have enough to sustain for the next 200 hundred Years.

These are a few things that I could think of I know we have many more reasons to be proud to be INDIANS.

But we as the Citizens of this Great Nation, we need to execute our responsibilities to the fullest extent. As we proud of our Nation, let us make our Nation Proud of Us.

Definition of Love.

I have been wondering about this four letter word called “Love”. Everyone on Earth uses this word and is obsessed with the same for various reasons. Some of us (Humans) love Parents, God, Music, Cars, Bikes, Artifacts, Studies, Pets, Siblings, Friends, & many more. The List could go on & on.

I have a different definition to this word called “Love”. In my knowledge, Love means Belief & Devotion. I regard the Devotion & Respect for the Love of My life. Irrespective of the fact that She doesn’t need me any more. I don’t need her, but, My soul needs her like the way a new born need his Mother. Like the way Life on Earth needs the Sun.

I have always known that Love is not true when it is Because of something…. But is True when it is In spite of everything.

Funny Marketing Style.

In Dublin I went to a store called the “2 Euro Store”, to purchase a pair of Shoe Lace. You get most of the things you need in that store, for € 2.00 each. On exploring the store, I found this packet of Shoe Laces, which had 17 pairs of shoe laces. I bought the same with joy, as the deal worked out to be Rs. 7.00 (Approx) for each pair.

When I came back to my Apartment, My collogue spotted out a funny thing on the packet and was laughing. I got a little worried, as I was happy to buy the same and now WHAT?

When I observed the packet, the packet had 4 pictures of footwear which needed no laces to be complete.

Making Way for the needy.

On 07 Nov 2008 at 11:00 AM, I was on my way to Infantry Road, riding my Unicorn to buy a battery for my Camera. When I was passing by the Entrance of Cantonment Rly Station, I see an Ambulance with its Siren On and managing its way in the traffic. I was wondering as to How this driver would reach where ever he has to, in this traffic. He took a right from the Circle in front of "Cantt Railway Station", and is stuck at the beginning of the road, with vehicles jammed in that narrow road. I could hear the Driver of the Ambulance using the PA System on the Ambulance and requesting the motorists ahead of him to make way for him. But none moved due to the lack of space ahead of them, as the Jam was till the end of the narrow road and the Policeman was diligintly managing the signal ahead. I was two vehicles behind the Ambulance, I got Off my Bike and with help of another motorist managed to put my bike on the footpath on the left and ripped my way to the begining of the Jam and told the policeman to make way for the Ambulance, and When looked ahead, on Queens Road, the Signal Jam is from Indian Express Cirlce till the Krishna Temple on the right of the road. I looked back to see the traffic clearing for the Ambulance. I knew, if I do not clear the traffice ahead, the Ambulance will be further delayed. I ripped again and the same technique worked, riding on the Footpath. I could reach close to the signal, could not ride any further due a lot of pedestriants. Hence, got off the bike and ran to the policeman in the next signal and seeked his help. The policeman immeditally let the traffic go and I was happy to see the Ambulance speed its way to the Hospital on Cunningham Road. I continued my way to buy the Battery, Two guys on a bike passed by me and asked me, why was I like a maniac on the road and riding on the footpath. I told them that I was trying my best to make way for the Ambulance, they commended my effort. I felt nice and said a small prayer, that the patient in the Ambulance should be fine.

My thoughts - 1 (Ambition)

As the saying goes, "Look Up & Aim High". A person should have high Aims in Life. A child is always told by his parents to become someone whom the world knows and respects. Hence, since Childhood, the child starts dreaming about being a great personality. But we all should know that life does not reward you without Pain. In order to win your desire, you should work hard for it. Some people are Lucky to attain what they desire very soon. Where as some find it very late after a lot of Hard work. Some people work very hard and due to some unavoidable reasons, they give up and choose something else for the moment. But a true Human is the one who does not give up in any circumstances and keeps the struggle on and on, until he succeeds.
"Don't you Mess with 'Fate'... But Once you decide on what your 'Fate' should be... Then GO FOR IT, No matter "What" or "Who" tries to stop you."

How True ?

I read the below lines somewhere. Made a lot of sense to me. I thought I will share it.
"To this world... You may be One Person. But to One Person... You may be the World."

My encounter with Cops in Dublin.

Something funny happened to me in Dublin. On a Sunday, looking at the beautiful weather, I decided to borrow my colleague's Bicycle and look around Dublin. The day was really good. I managed to pedal about 35 Kms and reached a village called "Ratoath" and treated myself a lovely meal of Stuffed chicken, with some fries and Yes, 3 Pints of Guinness Beer, Rode a country Horse, went to a church and attend a naming ceremony and took a good look at my dream bike "The Harley Davidson". On my way back to Dublin, I thought that I will reach Dublin sooner if I take the Motor Way (Super Highway in India). After pedaling for about 15 Kms on the Motor Way, looking at the cars passing by me at the speed of 120 KMPH, I was enjoying the ride. I sense a car behind me moving at the same pace of mine. When I look back, to my shock, it was a GARDA Car (Police Car). I immediately get off my Bicycle and say "Good Evening" .
  • Police man : What do you think you are doing?
  • Me : I am going to Dublin.
  • Police man : Ha.. Ha.. Ha.. Ha..
  • Me : Did I say anything worn?
  • Police man : This is a Motor Way, Bicycles are not allowed on a Motor way.
  • Me : Oh ! How do I get to Dublin.
  • Police man : First of all, get your bicycle on to the Grass.
  • Me : OK.
  • Police man : Now Push the bicycle on the grass till you reach the roundabout you passed by and take a right.
  • Me : Ok that roundabout which is about 2 Kms behind.
  • Police man : No, it is 3 Kms from here.
  • Me : Oh God.
  • Police man : Take a right there and go further down and take a right from the next round about. But remember to keep the Bicycle on the Grass until you get Off the Motor Way.
  • Me : Thank You.
I continued pushing the bicycle on the grass till I reached the roundabout and then started pedaling the bicycle. Then got lost as it was dark and no proper directions to Dublin. Some how reached my apartment at 10 in the night. I wondered, How would an Indian Policeman reacted to the situation. I am sure I would have at least been looted of a 100 Euros. Any way, I have learnt that I should not cycle on a Motor way. Though it is Ok to do so here in our Highways.

Why ?

In Dublin, I came across this statue of Jim Larkin, which had a plate with a few words which kept me thinking.

The words read, “The Great Appear Great Because We Are On Our Knees, Let Us Rise”

My Question is, “Why do we choose to get on our knees in the first place?”

A lot of us complain saying:-

1. “I am not special to this world.” - You will not until you are special to your self.

2. “No body treats me with respect.” - No one will until you respect yourself.

3. “No matter how much I try, I do not succeed.” - You will not until you believe that you will.

And a zillion other things.

It is OK to be Negative to some extent in life. But it should not be so much that you fail to see the ray of light ahead.
